A course specifically designed to see just how much or how little it really takes to Voyage safely.

This boutique "Adventure Sailing" course offers a one on one traditional expeditionary small boat sailing experience never before offered.
This is your opportunity to experience first hand a coastal cruise with offshore islands and focused on your self reliance at sea.

North Riviera Nayarit Expedition Itinerary

Day One
Arrive to beautiful Puerto Vallarta Mexico where the jungle reaches down from the mountains to touch the sea and caress beautiful Banderas Bay.
You will be met at the airport by one of our Ocean Adventure Team who will introduce you to the friendliest beach town in Mexico while helping to provision for the trip.

Day Two
Early departure under sail using morning offshore breeze to the Marrietas Islands to practice mooring under sail and snorkeling techniques.
Enjoying the building afternoon Northwesterly breeze as we sail from the islands into the protected lee of Punta de Mita,
where we will practice anchoring under sail and enjoy a bbq while anchored for our first star filled evening on board.

Day three
Our second day will start early as we round Punta de Mita and begin a beat to weather practicing our tacking and navigation skills working our way North to Chacala a small open road-stead where we will learn to anchor bow and stern and be introduced to our first official check in with Capitania the Mexican Port Captain.

Day Four
We will spend the day anchored off having time to rest, study and explore this truly unique beach hideaway.
Paddalboarding & Advanced Surfing for those that want to be on the water and Snorkeling and Spearfishing for those who love to be in the water.

Day Five
Set sail early in the morning for offshore bird sanctuary Isla Isabella

Day Six
Island  time on Isla Isabella and a day of exploring above and below the sea.


Day Seven
Tour the historic town known as San Blas a day of culture or surfing you decide!

Day Eight
Sail under beam reach practicing jibing and running on the way back to Chacala.

Day Nine
After a good nights rest in Chacala we set sail at sunrise dropping anchor in Punta de Mita before night fall.

Day Ten
A leisurely breakfast before raising the Spinnaker and running back to the Marina.
