CAPTAIN DANIEL
"Making memories that span entire lifetimes by helping people find their sea legs and enjoy the open water is a passion that I cherish as deep as the ocean itself. Let's go sailing!"
Captain Daniel Bonaventura
Daniel is an avid full-time live-aboard sailor who discovered that after spending 40 years on land, that he simply feels a whole lot better living on the water.
Having learned how to sail on Lasers as a youth, and then later as an adult experiencing coastal cruising with his family aboard a Hunter 450 Passage around Vancouver Island and the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia, Daniel knew that he wanted to be a sailor.
Since 2020 he has lived aboard a Beneteau Idylle 13.50 in the beautiful Bay of Banderas and has learned not just how to be a confident sailor, but also a charter captain, a boat mechanic, a bottom painter, a sail repairer, and an all around cruiser and adventurer.
Whether it is an afternoon cruise around the bay, to an all out adventure up into the Sea of Cortez, or a thrilling sailboat delivery up north via the Clipper Route, Daniel is always up for an adventure - it’s literally embedded in his name.
